Private Mentorship Drawing Craft & Mastery - GARYOKU KAKUSEI -

This program helps you develop the drawing techniques you’ll need to create a manga.

Before starting work on a manga, it’s important to make sure your drawing skills are strong enough to bring your panels and pages to life as you envision them. Otherwise, you may find that your skills are holding you back.

What we’ll cover:

■ First, I’ll help you assess your current drawing skills so I can tailor the learning process to your needs.

■ We’ll set a goal and identify the style you’d like to work towards, while keeping in mind the importance of developing an original style of your own.

■ Depending on your level, we may cover the fundamentals (anatomy, form construction, and perspective); adapting your work to a Japanese-inspired style (the theory of stylization and visual symbols); facial expressions; dynamic poses; clothing (folds and textures); inking (digital, with a dip pen, or with a fineliner); applying solid blacks; and motion effects.

■ One one-hour session per week. You may reschedule one session per month.

■ Optional: At the end of the program, I can help you have a sketchbook of your progress printed.*

*Additional costs apply for printing and delivery.
